Greetings all, I just recovered from teaching last week from teaching at Camp 510. I taught 12 students all female how to design, draft, and sew a garment of their choice. They did have the option of working on their own projects and enjoy playing in a room of fabric. There were some ambitious and stunning projects executed and displayed at the fashion show.
I do not have pictures to share for two reasons. Any picture I take needs to protect the child's identity. The other reason is that children are super wily at outwitting adults with cameras. Here's an example of one now:
I did spend yesterday in the studio and loved it immensely. Below is yesterday's output. It took me all day to carve the bird and a few tries to decide on color and font. I really like it.
